Love Is

Common - Love Is (Instrumental)

Woke up this morning to grey skies and the groom silently getting ready for the day's proceedings. We quietly ate breakfast room service, enjoying omelettes and brewed coffee, slowly covering areas we needed to tie loose ends for. I think I was more nervous than he was... But I'm not in his position. Common's Love Is is the first song that popped in my head this morning.

As the day rolled on from event to event, so did the clouds and an incredible Chicago sky shone through. The church service was emotional but after it was over a large weight was lifted.

The amount of preparation prior to the reception came to fruition and smoothly went through with everything wanted, had. It went by quickly, it's always the case with a big planned event. The families were an awesome team, and looked great dancing on the floor with all the guests. I'm looking forward to the photos to look back on. The secret choreographed dance with the groom and his college friends was so much fun, the right amount of showmanship, love and foolishness. So much love.

Back at the hotel, more drinking was had with the groom's college mates and family playing rage cage, very cool game; got ridiculously drunk, but happily so.
