Loves got the world in motion

When Boy was a mere sapling; before secondary school ... Before school even, he was a footballer; still is strictly speaking - once a footballer, always a footballer.

He started training club at 5, and played consistently until 17, lack of time preventing him from footballing, volleyballing and studying.

He played right back he played mid field, he played up front, he even played in goals; he was an all-round better than average footballer and a gasp inducing keeper!

I was one of those horrific mothers by the
Sidelines - but at least i did my football coaches certificate so that i could shout with knowledge and understanding of the offside rule.

He had many heros; numero uno Being Shearer - but the skill and consistency of His play drew comparison to Gerrard.

Yesterday; while waiting on a flight home ( from a stag cruise too messy to detail here); there in the queue next to him was one of his childhood heros.

Within minutes of him telling me he had spotted him. This came thru on my phone. Boy was stunned however to realise that he towered above him.... So was I! I always pictured them same kinda size!

I always forget my Stevie is so tall!
