Still Summer
Well, as much as it ever has been. A lovely sunny day, which was spent partly in the garden and partly peering down my microscope. The steep learning curve is still there but I felt as if I made significant progress today, managing to find useful features on the fungus I was looking at.
I spent half an hour watching, and trying to photograph a dragonfly without success, but a very acceptable substitute was to be found on the Buddleia, where at one point there were no fewer than 5 Small Tortoiseshells.
