Potager

We've got rid of most of the grass in the back garden and dug out a pattern of veg beds. I really like seeing flowers and vegetables all grown together so in the middle bed I sowed a selection of packet ends of annual flower seeds. As you see, a lot of them were Shirley poppies - one of my favourites.

Such a lovely day today, and managed to spend most of the afternoon in the garden. Also had a surprise visit from a blipper from a neighbouring island! When she left I cycled along the road a while with her, but not for long - she's in a whole different league - lycra, gears and everything! Great to see her though . . . . !
