Woken at 5 am this morning by one of the newly moved in students up the road banging on his door to wake housemates.
To his credit, he kept going for a good 45 minutes.
To their credit, despite him waking up a sizeable number of local residents, the housemates completely ignored him.
His tactic was shouting, banging, knocking in a relentless cycle.
We did have a lie in of sorts following this early morning entertainment and then headed down to the Avon Gorge.
Mrs RB and Son 1 headed off on their bikes down the cycle path towards Pill. Son 2 and I operated in the area shown in the picture while he built his cycling confidence. He's a bit of a late arrival, at the age of 8, as much a result of a bit of mental block/lack of confidence as much as anything else.
Anyway, following a bit of intense practice over the past two weekends, he has cracked it. I felt proper pride and he was suitably chuffed.
Back home via the bike shop to replace the lights we promised we wouldn't misplace between last spring and now!
Extras: Don't worry he has a helmet.
