The Problem of The Bee

My Dear Fellow,

Yesterday morning saw me in a bit of panic. A massive bumble bee was knocking on the bedroom window in a very insistent manner. Worse, it was bumbling in an upward direction - toward the gap in the semi-open sash window.

Not that I'm bee-phobic. I'm quite fond of the fuzzy little chaps. But cats being cats, you just know that it would end in kitten-tears. And Jasper was at the window long before I could flap myself out of bed and slam the window shut.

I made it though. The bee was too slow, and I was a BLUR. The window was shut & crisis averted. But that was yesterday.

Today the bee, a persistent fellow, was back. And this time he got in. Again, Jasper was over there in a flash and I flapped about. But I was able to trap the bee in a glass and even managed the transfer of the glass from the window to my recipe book, ready for release into the wild.

But I decided to let the little chaps have a bit of a close look first. As you can see, Punky also got in on the action. The little guys patted at it, and peered at it but were unable to get the bee to come out and play.

And because it made me laugh, I've added a picture in the extras of Punky with a "what the eff IS it?" look on his face.
