The Forbidden Fruit

Went to Edinburgh for meetings with a coat on. Came out of the meeting after lunch and Summer arrived in the capital. Glorious. Princes Street gardens packed. Every bench, outside seating in bars and cafes full. School holidays + festival + sun = a buzzing city this afternoon.

Took a walk along Royal Mile, well a weave in and out the crowds and performers. This girl was promoting the last night of her show that involved her and a fellow performer in various poses with an apple. I hope they've had a good Fringe.

Sun was playing havoc with my settings and I was tempted to switch to automatic for first time in a long time - resisted the urge. Sure there is plenty technically wrong with this, but I really like the light/shadows.

Went to see Daniel Sloss after work, a brilliant hour of stand-up. Hopefully get a few more visits this month, especially with Olympics nearly over.
