Itchen Stoke church

According to The Churches Conservation Trust  St Mary's church Itchen Stoke is 'A dazzling and colourful Victorian jewel of a church which overwhelms the senses - it is a truly exhilarating building, tall and imposing, especially as you approach it up a steep path from the road. It's design is clearly inspired  by the soaring elegance of the C13 Sainte Chapelle in Paris, chapel of the french kings'
Totally amazing, and well worth a visit...I have added a shot of the stunning interior in my extras....somewhere I shall certainly be visiting again especially on a sunny day when it is said to be bathed in gloriously coloured light!
