Ships that pass

Today we said farewell to our friends D & L on the Mull croft and caught the ferry "Isle of Mull" to Oban. As we were approaching  Oban we passed another   Caledonian MacBrayne ferry the " Coruisk" heading out.

A little closer to the pier I noticed a boat belching out black smoke from the funnel as it was leaving (see extra), very like an old steam locomotive, and it transpired that this was in fact an old steam powered vessel the SL VIC 32 with a group of people on board. ( An internet search at home told me the interesting history of this boat).

Once on the mainland we had a lovely sunny  3 hour drive home through the mountains and down to Perthshire where the combines were busy taking advantage of the good weather.
