Sunny Saturday

We both slept well and were up and out earlyish as we had things to do, places to go, people to see ;-)

Firstly I cooked some chicken thighs, before
a walk into town for a few bits and bobs. We treated ourselves to not only a coffee, but brunch as well......scrambled eggs and bacon on brown toast, very nice it was too!

Then it was back home to make a chicken and ham pie for tonight's dinner.

Hub washed the new car for the first time, and hoovered it inside ;-) all sparkly again now :-)

Then it was a drive over to see mum, dinner in the car, not the dog ;-)........when we first arrived Mum was listening to Michael Bolton on her CD player ;-). I think she has every cd he has released ;-)

I made us all a cup of tea and we managed to coax her out into the garden as it was such a lovely afternoon. We sat out chatting for most of the afternoon.

I cooked the chicken pie, boiled some of hubs potatoes, and some petit pois...........and called them both in for dinner. nothing left, went down a treat :-) Left mum some pie for tomorrow too.

We left her just as it was going dark and got back home around 8.20pm. Think she enjoyed her day........I think hub was trying out her rocking seat, whilst I'd vacated it here, not sure...but don't think he'd nodded off ;-)

Just going to sit and watch Casualty now :-)
