Lunch in Leith

We had a luncheon date down in Leith today. I had bought a voucher ages ago, but fortunately put it in my calendar on the correct day. 'Just a couple of hours' we told Christine and Rufus When we dropped him off. Five hours later we returned... (Two buses each way takes a loooong time!)

We had a selection of curries, and a 'flight' of beers each (including a rather nice 'grapefruit' beer. The young chap looked towards the high stools all along the window, but I pointed to my walking stick and he took pity on me, and let us sit in a wee booth thingie, with a good view of the whole place, which was surprisingly busy. And we were ever so slightly saved from the godawful din that they called music, which was supposed to enhance our dining experience. It did not.

When we came out, we spotted another establishment right next to it, so we had a wee look inside.

Soft, laid back, melodic jazz music was playing... this was more like it.

So we stayed for a wine, and er, nibbles - like we really needed more food. What a nice place, though. It has a lovely dining room all set up with white table cloths, which used to be the auction room for the imported Bordeaux in the 17th century. It's old.

And it's dog friendly!

What a lovely day it was - Leith waterfront was looking at its best.

I'm still loving having that TV remote again! I can change channels willy nilly.

PS JR is I am annoyed that she didn't have her red bag visible on this side...
