Gnarly and Twisty Tree

A quick Friday walk. Despite only being in three days, it has been quite a productive week at work. I feel justified in taking a slightly longer than usual Friday lunchtime walk, but walking faster so I don't spend too long out of the office.

Along the way I try to take a picture of this interesting tree. Gnarly and twisting its way up to the sunlight.

Despite the appearances in my Extra photo of a cottage in Dean Village, it is not as warm as yesterday. Definitely an autumnal feel about the temperature. Or as a weather forecaster might put it "Normal for the time of year".

Cycling home, the sun has managed to warm the air by a few more degrees. Not quite twenty, but very pleasant indeed.
