A quiet oasis inside a busy city

SOOOOO warn out as I have been on my feet ALL day walking round London looking for Olympic mascots. Firstly we went to Covent Garden where we found about 13 around the nearby area- the pink trail. We discovered this very small park that was like a secluded oasis but was only metres away from the hustle and bustle of London life. That's where I took this picture. After a quick trip to Lush we got the tube to the monument and managed to find some more mascots along the Thames. Along the way we saw London's beautiful sky line and walked across Tower Bridge and just when we got to the other side it opened so we had an amazing view of it open with the rings up. Then as we walked further along the river we turned round to look back at the bridge and saw the rings coming down. Walking along we then made various stops at different mascots, statues and places of interest. Feeling a bit hungry we carried on along the river and got to this bit where there was free sports to take part in, freebies were being given away and you could get your photo taken. We got a pair of free sunglasses and a mini fan then got our photos taken pretending to be in the Olympics. Feeling really hungry we left and went back to Covent garden where we had choc trifle in a veggie cafe then left for home. Great despite tiring day!!!
