Damselfly

This damselfly was very small - certainly minute compared to the jumbo jet-sized dragonfly that was circling nearby but never to land.

I have trawled through numerous websites and flicked page after page of insect books but I cannot decide exactly which one this is, so any help offered will be gladly accepted.

My best guess is Coenagrion pulchellum - one of the varied damselflies?
