... They were appalled to be separated on Monday so today they were very pleased to be going to school together. Though Katie'd had some serious strops before lydia arrived.

Ballet after school. We take a friend with us each week. The walk home from school was a little eventful, I found out a wee issue & it didn't unfold well. She stomped most of the way home and a little stomp in her bedroom for a while before it all seemed to calm a bit. Of course dancing helped matters but she was grumpy on the way home again.

I had to go to a meeting tonight so her uncle came to look after her. She was quite sad before they got here but was fine once I said he would maybe read her a story. And he did, after which she settled happily to sleep
