A great evening last night at the Irish faery and cake night! First of all, it was held in the most incredible house, hidden from the road, all Dutch curves and eccentric decor. The talk was led by two women, very rigorous, academic and amusing. It was so good I've signed up to do one of their short courses on Irish Myths and Legends. The cake was good too - pear and apple polenta cake for those that like to know that kind of thing. And tea from china cups.

A small trespass investigation into this poor old hotel - Reendesert. Actually I didn't go in, too spooky - all those manky mattresses. Currently for sale if you're tempted - it needs a massive amount of tlc. An early entry for Derelict Sunday hosted by the lovely 60plus this month.

Other than that I've have been forking, digging out the compost bins - two ready for action and four barrow-loads already in the polytunnel.
