The Red Balloon is finally up...

...our festival-going is well into its swing now. Two fantastic shows today - Guy Masterton in his stunning one-man play The Half, which was powerful, funny and moving. Then the wondrous Glasgow lawyer-turned-comedian Susan Calman. I expected her to be funny, but she was hilarious - way beyond my expectations.

But she was also incredibly moving as she talked about her right to an equal marriage - brought the entire audience to tears, quite rightly. She has made me even more determined to challenge prejudice wherever I see it - it is important that we all do, every time.
