Wheelhouse

The main work on the general shape of the wheel house is complete.  I have to sand it all down and fill in all the small gaps ready for painting.  The funnel is waiting for the glue to dry before I can panel the sides.

After that there is a whole load of gubbins to add to the roof, radar, Kelvin's Balls, rails, port and starboard light frames etc.  The steps need to be built - goodness knows how and the rails added to those as well.

Like i said in a previous Blip, this is the easy bit.  At one point today I thought, "Bugger it" and it nearly went back into the pending box then I had a eureka moment.  Actually MrsDB came in to check on the groans and curses thinking I'd falling off my perch, took one look at the problem and said, "Why don't you try that"?

I said I'd already done that and it didn't work (lie - I hadn't thought of it).  As soon as she'd gone, satisfied that her wage earner was safe and well I took up her suggestion.  It worked.  She's a clever clogs.  Sssshhhh....
