Leaves for lunch
Leaving the mist behind us we headed off for lunch at Rufflets Hotel in St Andrews. Built in 1924 for the widow of a Dundee 'jute baron' it has been an hotel since 1952. We then headed into town for a wander round the town centre trying to keep out of the way of students, golfers and pipe bands, (see extras for examples of our failure to manage any of these things). We then headed back home via the "scenic route" – except that it wasn't because the mist had rolled back inland once more. Can't have too much of a good thing I suppose – this is Scotland after all...
