Enter the Squirrels

I knew it would happen. The squirrels figured out about the new scheme of putting peanuts in the birdbath. This gal was up and down quite a few times and quickly figured out how to get the nuts out of the water. In fact for awhile she just sat on the table eating her nuts right next to the birdbath until I discouraged her from hogging the supply. The jays still managed to get some as you can see from the extra.

Today was the Alzheimer's Society of WA support group and it was a really big crowd today. It took almost the whole two hours just going around the table and hearing what was up with everybody. I had invited a friend to come and she did. Even though there were so many people I think she recognized how much the group helps and will come back. At least I hope so.

Obviously Arvin and I spent some time on the deck this afternoon. It is becoming a regular activity for us, a way to quiet from the day, enjoy the fresh air, and relax. It's nice. 

Helena sometimes joins us though she didn't today. We started kidding around the other day about names for characters in a novel. Sam and Ella Squirrelsenjays for one. And Dusty Peanuts for another. It is a playful and fun game.
