New Life for an Old Tree
Tidebrook Manor was open again today today under the National Gardens Scheme, so I wnrt along with Mrs Catspaw to show her the place I'd 'discovered' back in June.
We discovered that a grand old Corsican Pine (Pinus nigra ssp. salzmannii var. corsicana) thatb had provided a focal point on the main lawn had blown down about a month after my previous visit - but the owner and the head gardener had decided to make the best use possible of the wood of this much-loved old tree.
