Mara del Chaco

I think this is the Mara del Chaco (Sp.conejo de los palos, Dolichotis salinicola), a relative of the Patagonian Mara, both indigenous species in Argentina. Spotted from the car south of San Juan, they seemed in no hurry to go anywhere.
