One of the Girls

This is one of the two female Osprey chicks that we have been watching all summer here in Granby.  I really expected them to be gone by now.  The family I have been watching at home left about two weeks ago and it's much colder up here.  I think they must arrive later in the spring after most of the snow is gone so they get a later start.  The chicks are adult size and we have seen them successfully fishing so I'm sure they will be leaving soon.  We were glad to see them this last time that we'll be here this season.
