Sour dough bread

Sour dough bread is very popular in San Fransisco and there are quite a few very well known names in the business. Down by Pier 39, Fisherman's wharf, is the Boudin bakery and cafe and l can remember eating their bread in the 1980s, they are still going strong with queues at all their counters. The shelves are laden with all their wonderful bread in many shapes and sizes.
