Socks, swooshes, belt and headphones: too much? Nah!

First day of teaching: all good and lovely, students seem ace, but I am a bit tired and hoarse.

Then on to GCSE parent's evening: utterly terrifying for those of us with idle kids. It's all harder, longer, terminal exams, just horrific. Poor Amelia.

And finally bookclub: The Buried Giant by Kazuo Ishiguro. Generally well received, I enjoyed it a lot. A bit magical realism-y, for you fans out there.
