Lavender

A mad dash to Tesco's proved fruitless apart from I bought a box of Thornton's chocolates purely for the shiny wrapping, so I could make a golden ticket for Gabriel. There were no costumes that we could use to be a Roald Dahl character. I was looking to no avail for a cowboy hat so he could be Mike Teevee.  We left with a feeling of dread. 

But, we've managed to pull something out of the bag, or rather his packed out 'dressing up' chest. Turning a costume for a Lewis Carroll character into one of Dahl's. The portrait of Gabriel in his outfit I will take in the morning before school, it should appear as my blip for tomorrow.

She wasn't keen on me taking the photograph claiming, 'her hair wasn't right'

Well at least, Poppy is prepared for tomorrow's Roald Dahl day. She's going as Lavender Wormwood, the school friend of Matilda.
