Alcazaba, Almeria
Today we headed to the largest city in the area, Almeria.
It was very hot and the Moorish fortress that we had come to see, was understandably up a steep hill, so we left Dad at a café in the shade reading his book - he can't manage hills anymore.
So me, hubby and mum hiked up to the fortress (free if you show your passport!), and spent 90 minutes having a good look around. It was really impressive and the views from the top were pretty good too.
But it was HOT! We are not so good with the heat, so craving shade, we headed back down to dad and had a snack.
This is our last evening in Spain, so we are off to the onsite restaurant for our final meal. Home tomorrow :(
