Waiting

I went to listen to Hilary Mantell narrate her latest short story with a friend this afternoon, very entertaining. It was about incidents that happen while you are waiting at A and E. I think most of us are familiar with waiting our turn at NHS hospitals, it certainly struck a chord with me. This Little Egret was also waiting motionless, presumably for the tide to return in the estuary.
