This may not end well......

He has been walking gingerly round the garden for four days.  Occasionally he flaps his wings ineffectually.  Keeping him fed and hydrated, and he is taking that.    The balance of opinion is that he is a fledgling (his underneath feathers suggest that) who has become separated from his mum before he could actually fly.   He seems quite alert.

So if we can keep the cats and the crows at bay he might (might) just suddenly take off.

Our lovely vet next door says that she will come and euthanise him if he gets obviously sick or badly injured.
