Display Back

This is a glimpse through the display back of my Invicta Pro Diver wristwatch into the Seiko NH35A movement. You can see a bit of the balance wheel, something of the mainspring and indeed the automatic winding rotor. This is pretty close and required a TWO macro extension tube effort using my Sigma 30mm prime lens. Of course there needed to be some focus stacking and I couldn't resist a spot of 8 tone posterizing. The final result is a bit arty farty I guess but if you want a more literal look at the mechanism with the distracting colour and a/f removed, try the extra.

Sorry I have been AWOL. Norma has had some traumatic moments over the last few days, complete with ambulances, paramedics, hospital emergency departments and multitudinous interactions with mysterious machines that have lots of fancy lights, monitor screens and parts that go "beep" a lot. Thankfully all seems well - although some more medical appointments and important sounding tests still await. Some serious resting is happening right now and for once I am getting my way in the matter. First time ever, I think.
