The Value of Volunteers

Got a call to say I had won a prize in a raffle . Yorkshire Cancer Support has been at parkrun last weekend raising funds with a cake stall and a raffle .

I managed to nab a prize.

Went to collect it and was given a tour of their place

What a wonderful relaxing , homely place . Cancer support offers many therapies raining from art therapy to massage . Paid staff run it but mainly it is the work of volunteers . Bunting in the corridors displays what esteem these volunteers are held in

What a wonderful place although I hope I never need it
