Red balls

These are soldier recruits that walked out of the gym right in front of me. Instantly looking at those red balls I was taken back in my memory to the film, The Red Balloon.  It's a fantasy/comedy filmed in Paris in 1956.  I saw it a few times growing up and then saw it in college for a film class.  The images are so strong from it and I'm sure many of you have seen it because it became so popular with educators and children.
