Grove Ornamental Bridge No. 164

The weather was on our side again today - a real scorcher with temperatures reaching 30 degrees. Steve Oldfield and I headed over to the River Gade, part of the Grand Junction Canal near Hunton Bridge.  

This photo is of the Grove Ornamental Bridge No. 164, a Grade II listed bridge carrying the approach road to The Grove, a luxury hotel, spa and golf resort in Watford. Quite a number of narrow boats were moored up along the canal today and we didn't have to wait too long before this one came through! 

We found a nice pub, The Coach and Horses, in Croxley Green were we stopped for lunch and a much needed cold shandy!

It's been a really enjoyable couple of days spent in great company with loads of fun and giggles :-) 

I apologise for the lack of comments recently - i've been away (still need to process and blip the photos)! and then had my mother to stay so i've been rather busy!
