Up early early early; managed a few hours work before a school run and then onto the bike (the new one; did I mention it..?) - a lap of the hood before a brief stop in Ravelston and out to the outer limits of W Edinburgh and an action packed meander back into the city centre in increasingly drizzly gloom. Chummed her to work and from there I carried on through greater Leith and home to dry out and warm up with a hearty bowl of her broccoli walnut and stilton soup. 
A couple more hours of doing battle with our painfully slow IT systems before heading off to grab the boys and home for Spanish bean stew. 

We made bramble jam sponge puddings (microwaveable -Dan Lepard is a genius) and did stories (Alex) and Farcelona / Cellic highlights (Tom)

Then a quick catch up from her dinner with her mates; think I did well to have the boys, I reckon.
