West Lothian Countryside and Pentland Hills

After yesterday's effort, I spend a quiet morning at home doing some chores and checking over the bike.

To prevent my legs going too stiff, and also because it is also still very windy, I go for a short bike ride to East Calder. Only 30 miles this time. A simple loop out through Balerno and Glenbrook, down to Kirknewton and East Calder, before heading west and south to the A70. From there, I head back the way I came.

The ride takes me up Leyden Rd, in the opposite direction to yesterday. I stop at the top and take a few pictures with my camera phone of the countryside, the Pentlands in the background.

Nice to sit down at home and have a coffee and a wee bite to eat.
