Fragrant Pigeons Spotted in Northampton

Summer came to Northampton today! I gave myself the morning off and walked into town for a coffee and a half-hour's sketching. There's one of those water features in the market square that squirts varying spouts of water into the air.

Some people think of pigeons as unclean yet these were enjoying a good shower - even if the sudden pulses of water spooked them a little.
