A winter?s day...in Perth

City Beach is about 15km from Perth and 5 km north of our beach at Cottesloe.

Today was a one of those winters' days in Perth with the temperature 20c, and no cloud and no wind....ideal for the beach for some of the hardy, and golf for the sensible ones..

This lookout and a surf patrol is in operation 365/366 days a year...not many took advantage of this service today other than the old brigade who regularly hit the beach between 0630hrs and 0900 hrs.

The background Island is Rottnest about 12 km off the Western Australian coast and a favourite holiday spot for many, including yours truly 2 weeks ago.
