Hamish & Bella

I like an interesting chance encounter! It rained all morning and stir crazy, we headed out as soon as it eased off in the afternoon for a quick bash around the circuit. We hadn't gone far when we chanced upon Hamish and Bella, ambling along at a leisurely pace. We stopped to chat as you do and the story came out. Hamish is riding the length of the Wild Atlantic Way, in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. He is from South Africa and came over to see his sister who lives in the UK. She developed bone cancer and he decided to stay and support her. She said all was under control and urged him to go to Ireland which he did. He did a bit of wwoofing (working on organic farms) and came across this delightful horse - Bella. An idea was formed! Find out more about him here .
There are some extraordinary people out there. I'm not sure he'll be going back to South Africa though!
