Another hole in the cityscape

One of the reasons for starting this project was to capture as much of this city as possible in one calendar year. And as anyone who has spent more than a month in China can tell you change happens fast here. But when we began in January I was totally unprepared for the scale and pace of demolition that's happened in Nanchang this year. Most of it is due to the construction of the subway. Here we have (over the road, next to the large yellow-ish building) what used to be the Xinhua book store, one of the largest in the city - totally gone!
I presume a subway station will be put here instead as this junction opens on to BaYi Square so it makes sense to have a stop here.

Maybe in 5 years someone (maybe me if I'm still here) can revisit all these places and make a new blip project 'Nanchang2017' and compare then and now. I'm sure there will be quite a few big changes
