Autumn breeze

Today is apparently the last day of warmth. By which the locals mean it will rain tomorrow, and then the temperatures will plunge to the 20s. Which is fine by me. Particularly in view of it being about time that nature took a turn at watering.

Much to our delighted (and somewhat intimidated) surprise last night, an email informed us that CarbBoy is in the first team for basketball. So tonight we celebrated that. Also, somehow, there was much discussion of quantum theory, cats and apples. Then an episode of the West Wing to bring us all back to earth.

In other news, I found an enormous caterpillar in the garden. I will take a picture of it tomorrow - it is so big that I seriously doubt it will have been able to move far.
