Underpass

In Carlisle today for a visit to the Dental Hospital. I have a love-hate relationship with this underpass between Tullie House and the Castle. I like the paving engraved with local family names. I like the huge granite boulder with ancient curses written on it. I like the wall on the right which displays historical objects. But it's an underpass. It's dark, damp and smells of urine.

Good for photos, though :-)
