Maybe the roof is leaking?

This is a very interesting retail outlet actually, and worth visiting when/if ever you find yourself in Grasmere. They have a lovely café, too - and an outside patio for when the weather is kind - which it wasn't on this particular day.  (The Lake District IS one of the wettest parts of England, but it's such a lovely area and a major tourist attraction.)
