Snow geese

Startled snow geese taking flight this afternoon at the Ladd S. Gordon waterfowl management area near Bernardo, New Mexico. The sound was as deafening and awe inspiring as anything I have ever heard. What an incredible sight. The entire sky was filled.

The dog, my son and I took off on a spur of the moment trip. It was to cold to spend much time outside, but it was so beautiful.

Today I am grateful for the sight and sound of geese, for choirs singing advent music, and warm jackets.
