Mono Monday ( tradition ) MM138

This is a retake of one of my shots taken in Manchester .Its' a very young Prince Albert , husband of Queen Victoria . I like it since it shows UK and Germany had rather good links due to this man and he introduced so many lovely traditions to the UK .
a) engagement rings .Until he presented one to Victoria such were seldom given .It gave a boost to the jewellery industry .
b) The Christmas Tree was introduced by him and for this many can say thank you . The baubles and wooden figures being a part of such .
c) Both he and Queen Victoria were avid photographers and loved going to photographers and also using cameras . Most of their reign was photographed . Early blippers ?
I very much doubt there is a town or city in UK without a memorial to Prince Albert .He brought tradition and culture and it was woven into a very lovely cloth.(metaphorically speaking)  Minus legislation too .
