Saw A Cool Snake

There is a paved path that runs along the front edge of the swamp and while walking along I noticed this somewhat serious looking fellow heading out of the brush and across the path.
I'm not sure exactly what kind of snake it was, possibly a copperhead but I don't know for sure.
I am sure however that I didn't step on him.
