What .... no head!

I think it was preening time when I arrived at the loch this morning.  The mallards were snoozing on the rocks at the edge of the loch, the gulls were bobbing about on the water, the geese were walking about in the shallows and while his family were cruising around this male swan was busy with his morning exercises.
