Katherine Mansfield

Mono Monday Traditional.
Last day in Wellington  and my friend showed me around. First the Cable car and a walk around down town Wellington
. This was a sculpture she wanted me to see. Made of Stainless Steel and Named "Woman of Words'. It represents Katherine Mansfield one of our early New Zealand writers. Look closely and you will see all the words stamped out of the metal. It really is quite inspiring close up. She is certainly a traditional, iconic woman of NZ
The extra shows just her hand and you can see some words quite clearly there.
We also went to the gardens where the orchids were really superb. The lunch followed by clothes shopping.
Nice to be safely back home but I really did have a great 5 days away.
