Tristam's Grackle
A very inquisitive, common bird in the Dhofar region of Oman, this is the Tristram's Starling/ Grackle. Mainly very dark/blue black feathers, but a burst of orange on the edge of the wings. They are really chatty birds and like British Starlings they can be very noisy when in a big group. This bird is perched on the edge of a rusty oil drum, that is being used as a bin, I expect I have stopped him seeing if there is anything tasty in amongst the rubbish, but he is posing very nicely!
