Last supper

Day two of Heritage weekend, and more wonderful churches to visit! Having meandered around the area north of Dorking / Guildford I popped into St Margaret's church Ockley on the way home. They were doing bell ringing for beginners, (but I wasn't brave enough to try) and they did have the most scrummy Chocolate and courgette cake I have ever tasted, but aside from that the church was beautiful too, and I thought the reredos (the decorated piece behind the altar) depicting the 'Last Supper' was exceptional. I love the vibrant colours, (especially the disciple in front in blue) and the gold used to such good effect in the halo's, but best of all I love Judas Iscariot (without a halo) slinking off to the right hand side his 30 pieces of silver in a bag in his hand..........
