Chapel of Penha de Franca

This chapel was founded in 1622 to minister to soldiers of a small garrison in Funchal. It now belongs to the diocese of Funchal and we go here on Sundays to an English Mass. The Priest is a Madeiran who used to work in the USA and speaks good English. He also gives inspiring homilies.
